Couldn’t Wait

i am usually quite good about putting off putting up the christmas tree and its accoutrements until after thanksgiving.  apparently this year is the exception, as last night christmas threw up in my house and everything is up and twinkling and toeing…except in the front dining room, where i am sending mixed messages: an arrangement of flowers and tiny pumpkins on the table, while on the wall is a happy holidays sign from which is dangling a merry little stuffed santa.  i’m just embracing all holidays right now.  the rev sat back and let me do all of the decorating, and when asked for opinion just raised his eyebrows and said, “wow.  um.  yeah.  that’s a lot of stuff.”  i blame the jillion care packages i received in college and the craft fairs i attended back in kansas for my mass of holiday stuff, but it’s really not that bad…pictures to follow, i’ll let you be the judge.

YAY! Christmas is my favorite season, although you are so behind! The mall here has had stuff up since 4th of July.

  2. The Rev. says:

Couldn’t have been me; I was too busy drawing cubes…

Did I teach you nothing?? It’s too early!!!! You might as well just leave the stuff up all year… But I have to say I really liked the expression that “Christmas threw up in my house.” Very evocative.
