i spent a large portion of my weekend in oxford, ms, home of ole miss and a great deal of grandiose southern charm.  it is also currently home to a friend of ours, as he trucks through grad school, and we thought we would return the favor of the frequent trips he’s made to memphis to see us and go down for the night.  so saturday we set out in the rev’s newly-repaired honda, the rev, our friend andrew, and i, for the brief road trip southwards.  because of some radio difficulties, i spent much of the way there reading to them from a favorite author’s new book (john green’s paper towns).  we pulled up to our friend gray’s very cabin-esque studio apartment to the enthusiastic puppy yes’m’s greetings, and proceeded to have a great time.  i spent the ensuing time practicing some low-level amateur photography, all in black and white, and the following are some of my favorite shots from the weekend:
