Adios, Muchachos

as a brief explanation of my absence, i offer this: last week initially appeared to be a light work week between my two jobs, and turned out to be not quite so light.  initially i was scheduled for my full forty-hour work week at my full time job, and then monday and friday nights for my second job with an on-call shift on wednesday (i.e. only if needed).  but then i got asked to cover one thursday shift.  and then i got asked to cover one saturday night shift.  and all of a sudden i wound up working nearly 65 hours by last night.  and each night when i got home we either had plans or i was too exhausted to think of blogging.

but the light at the end of the tunnel made it all possible.  this upcoming thursday the rev and i are jetting off to mexico for the weekend with his aunt and her daughters.  we are SO privileged to get to do this, and it’s all i’ve been thinking about, i’m so excited.  i may or may not have allegedly spent way too much money on clothing for a four-day trip.  allegedly.  so this upcoming half-week is going to involve house cleaning (there is nothing worse than coming back from a relaxing trip to a trashed house and a mountain of laundry), securing guardianship of patsy the cat (to a friend from work), leaving copies of our passports hither and yon, and buying batteries for our cameras for the trip.  the moral of that story is that posting will likely be light again, but when we get back, expect many a picture of blue blue water, blue blue sky, white white sand, and tan tan rev.
